Day 1 – Rainforest Discovery & Treetop Adventure
Your journey begins in Cairns as we travel north along the spectacular Great Barrier Reef Drive to Mossman Gorge. Here you’ll be welcomed by the Traditional Owners with an authentic Welcome to Country and Smoke Ceremony, offering a meaningful introduction to the world’s oldest living rainforest and its rich Indigenous culture.
Next, enjoy time to explore the stunning Mossman Gorge, where crystal-clear waters flow over giant granite boulders beneath a lush rainforest canopy.
Continue north across the Daintree River aboard the iconic ferry before joining a Daintree River wildlife cruise. Keep your eyes peeled for estuarine crocodiles, colourful birdlife, tree snakes and other native wildlife as your guide shares fascinating insights into this unique ecosystem.
After a delicious lunch at the Turtle Rock Café, it’s time for an adrenaline-filled adventure through the rainforest canopy with Treetops Adventure Cape Tribulation. Soar through the trees on a series of ziplines and high ropes, experiencing the rainforest from a completely different perspective.
Later this afternoon, check in to your accommodation at Safari Lodge and enjoy free time to relax by the pool or wander the beautiful beaches of Cape Tribulation.
Dinner and breakfast are available for purchase from the Turtle Rock Café.
Day 2 – Great Barrier Reef Adventure
Wake up in paradise before heading out with Ocean Safari for an incredible half-day Great Barrier Reef experience. Snorkel at two pristine reef locations where you’ll discover vibrant coral gardens, tropical fish, giant clams, sea turtles, starfish and an incredible variety of marine life. All snorkelling equipment and expert guidance are included, making this adventure suitable for both first-time and experienced snorkellers.
After returning to Cape Tribulation, enjoy lunch at the Turtle Rock Café (at your own expense) before beginning the journey south.
On the way home we’ll stop at the famous Daintree Ice Cream Company, where you can sample delicious tropical fruit ice cream made from locally grown exotic fruits (at your own expense).
Relax as we make our way back to Cairns, travelling through the lush sugar cane fields, alongside the Coral Sea and past picturesque coastal villages, arriving with unforgettable memories of two of Australia’s World Heritage-listed natural wonders.

Indigenous Welcome to Country
CULTURAL EXPERIENCE! The chance to connect with the Traditional Owners of Mossman Gorge, the Kuku Yalanji people. They will welcome you to country with a Smoke Ceremony and provide you with an insight into the tools, traditions and the rainforest way of life, through an engaging cultural introduction.

What Should I Bring?
A smile on your dial and a sense of adventure. Please pack a small day bag with your ticket, camera, walking shoes, insect repellent and sunscreen. Pack a small overnight bag with a change of clothes, personal toiletries, swimming costume and towel, plus additional money for drinks, snacks – breakfast and dinner. Lunch is included on both days.
